SPC is an ISO14001 & FSC certified printer. This international standard specifies the actual requirements for an EMS – Environmental Management System. It applies to those environmental aspects over which the organisation has control and can be expected to have influence. The ISO 14001 environmental management standards exist to help organisations minimise how their operations negatively affect the environment and cause adverse changes to air, water or land.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests so that these forests meet the social, ecological, and economic rights and needs of the present generation without compromising those of future generations. Economically viable forest management means that forest operations are structured and managed so as to be sufficiently profitable, without generating financial profit at the expense of the forest resource, the ecosystem, or affected communities. The tension between the need to generate adequate financial returns and the principles of responsible forest operations can be reduced through efforts to market the full range of forest products and services for their best value.

SPC is one of a small number of FSC and ISO 14001 certified eco printers in the UK and have invested time and capital in becoming a certified green printer. In addition to FSC & ISO accreditation, we also hold Carbon Smart Platinum status are more than happy to discuss our environmental policies and accreditations in more detail with any of our customers.

SPC strive to specialist in eco friendly printing. It is now possible to “THINK GREEN” without compromising on quality and cost effectiveness. We take time to source the very best recycled and sustainable materials available and quote for and use greener printing alternatives whenever we can.

Our view is that by helping to reduce our impact on the environment we not only help our clients reduce their carbon footprint but can do so without affecting efficiency and costs whilst maintaining a superior quality product.
